After many, many years of dedication to the Seaman's Ministry, Les Hendricks is stepping aside to pursue other ministry opportunities.  Les has been the guiding force behind the Seaman's Ministry by visiting thousands of men on the ships coming into the port.  He has also been the dynamic person behind distributing the "Jesus" videos throughout the county and perhaps, even the world as they have been given out the international ships coming into the ports.  Only God know how many hearts have been touched and literally changed by Les's planting the seeds of these Jesus videos.  He has lost track of how many he has duplicated (with permission of course) and given out.  It is somewhere in the many thousands.  And he did all of this on his own time and with much of his own money.

A offshoot of Les's work has resulted in the development of a study of the Apostle's Creed. This study was translated into 31 languages. As this project grew, Les has not only provided these materials to ships, he also mailed this work to over 1,500 world wide ministries. He allows those who receive these materials to copy at will, hoping this will aid in the furtherance of the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the world. By way of follow-up correspondence from around the world, it appears these translations have been put into tens of thousands of hands. Les has placed some of the translations on the World Wide Web through Project Hope's Web pages.

We will miss Les, and wish him well on his newly Divinely appointed journey to other fields that God has called him to.
